Here's to goodbye, tomorrow's gonna come too soon

As the year winds to a close I look back at 2012 and am fortunate to have been blessed with so many things that I am undeserving of:

My family, Tim and his family, friends
Good health
My internship, job, and being offered a salaried position for 2013
Finally graduating from college
Finding myself
Lessons I've learned to become a better person

Many in the world are not so lucky to have a meal each day or loved ones who care for them so I am so thankful for all of the things God has blessed me with this past year.  In the middle of the year I also made a list of things I wished to accomplish by the end of the year, but it looks like I've only completed one: doing a cartwheel (photoset below). Haha, it was the easiest one, but I told myself that I would have to at least finish one.  Other goals included learning Japanese, saving money, and leasing a car.  I am not giving up on these goals, just postponing them to 2013.  I believe, to be successful, we must set goals to motivate ourselves.  I know this is true for meAlso, even though I've graduated, I still want to continue learning because I feel like it will slow down my cognitive skills if I don't.  I don't want to just be content, I want more.  I wish all of you a Happy New Year.  May 2013 be filled with many moments of happiness and love!

Oh Well

Soooooo...no more school and being off for the past two days means more time for blogging...yay!  Actually I was sick and my boss told me to stay home yesterday, but nevertheless, I did not go to work so I consider it a day off.  Did some Christmas shopping today, but more like Christmas shopping as a favor for people that need gifts for other people.  Don't know how much sense that makes.  Anyway, over the past few weeks I'd like to say that I've discovered myself, moreso, my sense of style.  Because I read lots of fashion blogs (professional and not) I get inspired with what I should wear, however, most of the time that style isn't me; it's just what I was trying to be.  But I was trying to be something I'm not.  Working at American Apparel and trying to "dress hipster" was not what I did best.  So this is my new style: flat booties, skinnies, and a basic tank.  Doesn't sound very interesting, but it's what I feel most comfortable in and it's easy and edgy.  I understand the personal style evolves over the years, but I think, for the time being, I will stick with this.  It mostly looks like this (photo from stylethemodels.tumblr.com):

Alright, all this talk is making me bored so here are some photos from the past month.

1 - A holiday hula show at Ala Moana
2 - We are the In Crowd concert (12/4/12)
3 - Mayday Parade lead vocals with Tim (12/4/12)
4 - Birthday dessert from Alan Wong's Pineapple Room
5 - Soap suds turned to snow at Ala Moana
6 - Graduation dessert from Roy's Waikiki

Local

It has been about a month since my last post.  I apologize for my lack of continuity, but I have been so busy with school and work that I just never got around to it.  I can say, though, that during this time I have finished all school projects, presentations, and finals and graduated this past Saturday!  Done with college, at least for the next few years and moving on.  I have been sick for almost two weeks and had to do all of these things while sick, but glad to say I made it through:)  Now it's just concentrating on getting through this week (death week).  According to my doctor, I'm contagious, so thankfully, my boss let me stay home, but the rest of the week is pretty nuts.  I will be working three 10-hour shifts in the coming days before Christmas.  I do have Christmas Eve and Christmas Day off though.

Going back to my graduation, I didn't realize it until afterwards, but that was probably the last time I will be seeing my classmates and last week was the last time I would be walking on campus as a student.  To be honest, it made me a little sad.  So thankful to my family, boyfriend, and friends for their support through the years.  I overstayed my welcome at UH, but I am finally done!  Here are some photos taken by my boyfriend and family of the ceremony and lunch afterwards.
