Today I woke up to the news that Adam Yauch of the Beastie Boys passed. What a bummer. I was not a huge fan of the Beastie Boys, but definitely a fan. Introduced to them in the ninth grade by the guy I liked at the time, I became hooked to their music. Sabotage was also my favorite song to sing (I tried really hard btw) on Rock Band. I had no idea how hard the news would hit me, but then I realized it was because they were a part of my high school years and thinking about losing someone from that part of my life made me nostalgic for a simpler time when all there was to worry about was what lunch was being served that day or what grade I got on Ms. Taira's vocab test. But everything amazing comes to an end. RIP MCA
