I can't even tell you how long it's been since I was on here, so hello. It's a pleasure to see you again. Today is my last day of jury duty. I'm definitely gonna miss the 2 hr lunches, listening to witnesses, hearing "objection" and "sustained." It was a nice break from work and interesting to see the how the judicial process works. If i could do this for the rest of my career, I most definitely would. And I have no clue why people grumble when they get called for jury selection. Call me, I'll take your place:)

“When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.” ― John Lennon

Photo Diary: Adventures in San Fran Part II
This photo diary, with photos from Feb 14, is a continuation of my last blog post since I didn't want to post so many pictures at once; though I've defeated that purpose by posting a whole bunch on this one. That's ok. I just started my training at Macy's and though I always enjoy learning new things I know that, ultimately, this is not what I want to do. I want to experience different fields within my degree so I'll know when I've found "the one."
Anyway these are still from San Francisco. One of the highlights of the whole trip was getting to see Swedish House Mafia for their One Last Tour. It was so surreal and one month later I am still amazed that I had the opportunity to see them. Many thanks to the young San Franciscans who helped us get to the Bill Graham Civic Center!

Photo Diary: Adventures in San Fran Pt 1
So as promised, I am uploading photos from my trip. These are from Ash Wednesday mass in Santa Monica and our first and partial second day in San Fran. Flying to San Fran, it was our first time on Virgin America and I've got to say it's my favorite airline so far. They had the cutest safety guideline presentation and best of all, Current TV, a network of documentaries. Tim and I were so engrossed in the farming of tuna in Japan that we hadn't even noticed we were close to landing until we actually landed...that's a first. While at the airport and on the Bart, I wondered why people kept looking at me, then I realized it's because I had ash on my forehead.

LA Photo Diary Pt. 1
It's been several days since I've been back in the 808 and I must say, I am missing LA enormously. Tim and I made the goal to move there, if the not by the end of next year, then the beginning of 2015. I've been there once in '09 and then again for a business trip last summer and I've really come to appreciate everything that it stands for, especially it's cultural diversity. Over the next week or so I will be uploading photos from the trip, but here are a few from the first couple of days. Some days I took my L120 and others, when I didn't feel like carrying a bulky camera, I used my S01.
On a side note, I only have three days left before my career with Macy's starts. I'm so nervous, but excited at the same time!
